Our family loves labradors, and is very active in handling, caring for, exercising, showing, training and enjoying our labradors in the small town of Silsbee, Texas. Located 1.5 hrs northeast of Houston, Texas, USA.
We primarily breed for yellow labradors, but occasionally will breed for black and chocolate as well.
We only have few litters a year to make sure all puppies have the individual attention they need. Our goal is to breed healthy AKC labrador that are used for bird hunting/retrieving, for a service dog or a family pet/companion. We strive to provide healthy, intelligent, friendly, beautiful AKC labrador puppies that go from our loving home to yours. We only breed dilute free, health tested labradors.
Our puppies are vet checked within the first few days of life and have their dewclaws removed. We start handling them and do ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) at 3 days til they are 16 days old. At 2, 4, and 6 weeks are dewormed, and at 6 weeks they also receive their first vaccinations. Around 2/3 weeks they start to nibble on premium puppy food designed for large breed dogs. For the first six weeks of their life, they are handled, loved and played with by our family. After 6 weeks (and first vaccinations) we allow our puppies to venture out onto grass and meet new people, noises and animals, creating well socialized puppies. We want them to have the best start to a healthy and long life with their new owners at age of 8 weeks.
Our dogs are healthy, happy, loved and exercised. They are fed premium dog food, have their rabies/vaccinations, and are on heartworm preventative. We DNA test our breeding dogs for any genetic health issues. Our dogs are exercised every day and have regular interaction with kids from infant babies to teenagers. They really are a treasure to have and we hope that you will get all the enjoyment and love from your puppy as we do.
Labradors are medium/large sized friendly dogs. They are a wonderful family pet, although they do require some exercise to keep healthy and help keep them from getting into trouble. Labradors can be used for duck hunting, service dogs, agility courses, or best of all, be part of your family. They love to be with you, whether it be on a hike, chasing a ball, or sitting on the couch. Labradors
do not require much grooming, just a brush once in awhile, which helps make them an easy dog to keep. They do shed however; so a good vacuum is a great investment to have!
